The second module of training for the target PAs employees took place in Lviv

During February 19-22, in Lviv within the framework of the implementation of the capacity building component of the SNPA project, a second module of the training on “Methods and Practice of Working with an Adult Audience” was held. Three representatives from each of the eight target territories of the project continued the participation in the training.

At the beginning of the module, the participants presented homework for assessing the educational needs in capacity development of their institutions. The competencies required by PAs staff were identified, which formed the basis of the draft curriculum options developed by the participants.

Among the main skills that PAs employees require were the following:

  • Improvement of English language level;
  • Training of individual employees on the basics of electronic documents management;
  • Training in specialized design programs;
  • Improving PC skills;
  • Learning to write projects;
  • Improving the level of knowledge in the legislation;
  • Study of PR-tools, etc.

Also, within the framework of the training, the participants learned about the European trends in the training of PAs workers, studied the tools of distance learning and methods of motivation and involvement of PAs employees in training.

The next stage of implementation of the project component for capacity building will be the meeting of the working group that was set up last year, where the results of the training and proposed changes to the training plans will be reviewed.
